Most dog books are about a dog.
dog+ is a picture book series told from the dog’s side. Each story pairs Sascha with one part of her world - a girl, a bone, a leash - and follows the everyday moments, attachments, and adventures that make it important to her.
Observant, particular, and playful, Sascha gives young readers her version of life, while grown-ups may recognize a little more between the lines.

Standard Schnauzer
Born in Montana, now stationed in Texas. She guards Loops, barks at the mailman, the doorbell, skateboards and leaves, and reckons that with a bull beside her she'd fear no fight.

The girl
Brown wavy hair and a serious commitment to hoops. Cheered for Kobe at one time, back with the Spurs now. Takes Sascha on walkies, calls the car rides a cruise, and is, by Sascha's account, the whole point.

The stories start in Montana and end up in Texas, which is where Sascha has since taken charge of a bull, a fox, a mailman, and several hundred acres she does not technically own.
Texas is not a backdrop in dog+. It is the reason half of what happens, happens.
